I am Abdullah Barsa, your candidate for Groveport City Council, with a vision of

reshaping our city by adding new energy, new ideas, and a renewed sense of community pride.

Since 2007, my family and I have proudly called Groveport home. For more than a decade, we’ve operated a family-owned convenience store that has become more than a business, it’s been a place for neighbors to connect and support one another. Through that experience, I’ve seen firsthand the importance of strong local businesses and how they can bring vitality and opportunity to our city.

I’ve served on the 4th of July Committee, a Board Member on the Southeast Chamber of Commerce, and worked with several nonprofit and faith organizations to strengthen civic engagement and serve families in need. These experiences have inspired my commitment to building a more vibrant, walkable downtown—one filled with restaurants, coffee shops, play areas, and gathering spaces that bring families together and keep Groveport thriving.

My goal is to make Groveport a place where businesses succeed, families flourish, and every resident feels proud to call it home.
