The Curious Geometry of the Ancient Moundbuilder Culture

The Groveport Heritage Society is offering a program on Tuesday, September 30, at 6:30 PM, titled “The Curious Geometry of the Ancient Moundbuilder Culture”. “We have had questions over the years regarding the historical presence of Native Americans in our area and would like expert information regarding this,” Carla Cramer said.
Anthony George will be presenting. He is described as a “native of the Ohio Valley, seventh generation Appalachian, and an enthusiast of the land and its cultures.”
At a young age George was fascinated by the teachings of the “old timers” about Moundbuilders. he has observed and studied. George and his oldest son will deliver the region to you via images and storytelling.
The program will take place at 3565 Bixby Road and is free of charge.
The Groveport Heritage Society is open to any person interested in preserving Groveport’s heritage and learning about the town’s history.
The yearly membership fee is $10 per person. Meetings are held at 7 p.m. on the last Tuesday of each month at Groveport Town Hall.
