If you know what these are, you are invited to present your prized homegrown produce to representatives from the Fairfield County OSU Extension on Aug. 21, from 6 to 8 pm.

Join members of the Wagnalls Garden Club on a stroll through the gardens followed by a chance to taste locally grown tomato varieties in the Community Building at 7 pm.

“We have a Master Gardener who grows 30 tomato varieties each year and shares with Master Gardeners, so we will have a good variety,” organizer Connie Smith said.

Votes will be taken for the favorite. However, Smith offers only one prize to the winner.

“The prize is bragging rights but most importantly it is the opportunity to encourage our participants to try a new variety, size, or color of tomato,” she said.

Inquiries can be sent to Connie Smith at smith.3204@osu.edu or call (740) 277-4632.
